When we decided where our performance was going was when we started thinking about our set. Our story line is based on two friends who share a house. We decided that we wanted a living room setting this is because it is relatable for the audience and fits the idea of ordering a takeaway which is something you do at home. Also everybody best and worst food habits are inside there home where they feel safe and its a place where nobody will know if you cheat on a diet for example. So we just started looking for living room furniture we emailed Ben to see if they had anything in the storage unit the first thing that we wanted to get was our Sofa not only for the performance but it would make our rehearsals easier we can now work on how we are to move and use the sofa throughout the performance.

The next piece of furniture we needed was a fridge… now we knew that we didn’t want to create a kitchen for fridge confessions we just needed to give the audience an illusion of a kitchen, we did not want to buy a fridge because our budget doesn’t stretch that far so we went on a hunt asking around and again Ben came through with a load of old fridges from the university students campus. Meet Frenchie !

Another element of our set was a screen behind the sofa we wanted to use that and project the picture of one of our bedroom windows to give it more of a homely feel but the screen would also be used in the beginning to project our photo shoot using food and pictures of takeaways. In the fridge we plan to stream live cameras inside this will hep bring the fridge to life in the fridge confessions scene.

We planned on getting a lot more stuff to create our home illusion however due to the circumstances we were unable to get anything else. We also wanted a TV, maybe a Coffee table, and a lamp. Our finished set for our emergency performance I think still created a good enough illusion for the audience to know that it was a living room.

Costume
For our costume we wanted something simple that we could move in and cool as we would be moving around a lot. We based our costumes off where we were which was at home and when your relaxing the one thing you get into is your pajamas, and that’s how we decided on our costume. We also decided to wear this in the photo shoot to represent the relaxed performance that it is.
